Introducing Our New Look

We’re excited to unveil a new brand identity for Foresite Capital. Our company has evolved significantly since its inception in 2011, and with the closing of Fund IV in March and the continued expansion of our team, the time was right to align our visual identity and tagline with our mission. Our new logo combines the three elements below into one symbol with interlocking Fs that represent our name and our mission: to fund the future of healthcare.

The origin of our icon:

  • Data — to represent our rigorous, data-driven process
  • Discovery — to showcase our emphasis on finding the diamonds in the rough
  • Health — to meet the end goal of improving health outcomes for patients

Funding …

I started Foresite Capital in 2011 to combine and leverage my entrepreneurial experiences as a pharmaceutical company co-founder and CEO and a minority ownership (non control) institutional investor. Our goal is to become a major shareholder of the next decade’s versions of the major pharmaceutical companies of today. We look for the very best emerging medical products, and we’ve structured our firm to remove the typical silos and artificial restrictions on investment stages that get in the way of focusing on the long-term outcome: to improve patient care.

The Future …

The future of healthcare will be increasingly precise, data driven, patient specific diagnostic and therapeutic products. We’ve built a multi-disciplinary organization where clinical researchers talk with data scientists, geneticists, and business analysts. We believe we have formed a prototypic healthcare investment organization of the future. We focus on accelerating innovation and we don’t restrict ourselves to particular stages. We have been investing from series A to IPO and beyond — wherever we see an opportunity to improve healthcare. This multi-stage investment approach is one of the factors that makes us unique.

Of Healthcare

Investing in healthcare requires patience and sustained engagement given the long timeline from ideas to products — as well as the uncertainty of regulatory decisions, competitors’ data readouts, and manufacturing milestones. Fixing healthcare won’t happen overnight. It takes a significant amount of capital and a longer-term outlook to weather the ups and downs in this industry. Foresite Capital was purpose-built to meet these challenges.

We hope you like our new look.
