Melia is a member of the investment team, focusing on evaluating investment opportunities in biotech and therapeutics.
Melia completed her PhD studying metabolic disease at Harvard University, where she researched cold-induced brown fat development. During graduate school, she was a fellow with Longitude Capital, supporting end-to-end diligence processes for multiple therapeutic investments. Prior to graduate school, Melia completed an MS in Biology at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, where she evaluated small molecules for the treatment of Huntington’s Disease, and earned her BS in Biochemistry from Saint Mary’s College of California.
