Peter leads the clinical and development strategy at Foresite Labs during the incubation and build of new companies while supporting scientific diligence as a Venture Partner for Foresite Capital.
Peter brings 15 years of clinical development and strategic experience in the pharmaceutical industry with key leadership positions at Candid Therapeutics, Kyverna Therapeutics, AbbVie, and Sanofi. Through his industry career, he has worked on small molecules, large molecules, and cell therapy across various stages of development and spanning multiple therapeutic areas including immunology, rheumatology, dermatology, neurology, pulmonology, nephrology, endocrinology, and gastroenterology.
Prior to joining Foresite Labs, he was the SVP Head of Clinical Development at Candid Therapeutic and successfully led the T-cell engager programs resulting in the company’s acquisition by UCB in June 2026. Previously, he was the Head of Clinical Development and Operations at Kyverna Therapeutics leading the CAR-T program, Global Development Lead for Rinvoq (upadacitinib) at AbbVie, and Head of Clinical Development Operations of Immunology & Inflammation at Sanofi with key programs centered around Dupixent (dupilumab) and Kevzara (sarilumab). Earlier in his career, he served as the global medical lead for Taltz (ixekizumab) while working at Parexel.
Peter received a B.S. in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University, M.H.S. in Clinical Investigations from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, M.D. from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and he completed his internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at Johns Hopkins. He sub-specializes in scleroderma, vasculitis, and rare diseases. He previously held academic appointments at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and UTHealth McGovern Medical School.
