Vik’s work lies at the intersection of large-scale computation and AI with science and engineering. He is the co-founder and CEO of Foresite Labs, whose mission is to harness AI to transform the way we discover, invent, and build.
Prior to joining Foresite, Vik was the Chief Scientific Officer of GRAIL—a technology company focused on early cancer detection, when it is most treatable (acquired by ILMN)—and co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Verily, an Alphabet company, where he also served as Chair of its Scientific Advisory Board. A former academic principal investigator, Vik is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Stanford University. He is also a co-founder and Director of Xaira, as well as several companies within the Foresite Labs portfolio.
